CHAPTER PRESIDENT ELECT ~ 2021-2024 ~ ROGER BLANK
Two-time past NFF Scholar Athlete Winner assumes Chapter Presidency … PAUL "JASON" BURKE

7 Effective May 1, 2019, PAUL "JASON" BURKE assumed the Board elected position of President of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame - Valley of the Sun Chapter. Jason's presidency is both fitting and a model for the success of the NFF's goal of "Building Leaders through Football". He attended and played football for Glendale Mountain Ridge High School and was honored by the local NFF Chapter as a Scholar Athlete in 2003 for the Mountain Lions. Burke then played his college football at ASU as a proficient Sun Devil long-snapper specialist, and participated in the Hawaii and Sun Bowls. Jason received ALL-ACADEMIC honors in each of his four playing seasons and was a dual major graduate with BS Degrees in both Finance and Marketing. In 2007 Jason Burke was named the Chapter's DI - FBS College Scholar Athlete representing Arizona State University and was later able to apply this scholarship toward completion of his MBA Degree from ASU's WP Carey School of Business. Also in 2007 he began working for Arizona Salt River Project as a rotating business analyst with rotations in the Treasury and Energy Risk Management departments, and was recently promoted as a Principal Analyst within Resource Planning for SRP.
As a two-time past winner as a Chapter Scholar Athlete, both high school and college, Jason joined our NFF Chapter in 2007 and became immediately active and affective on the Executive Board of Directors. In addition to serving on luncheon, banquet, and social committees, he stepped in - in times of need - to serve both as our Secretary and our Treasurer when needed.
The Chapter and Board members wish to thank Jason for his service as President from May 2019 through May 2021 and also thanks him for his commitment to continue future service on the Board. Burke proudly boasts a son Parker, who is 6 years of age.

Welcome from Jason ...
On behalf of the Valley of the Sun Chapter of the National Football Foundation/College Hall of Fame I wish to welcome you to our organization.
The National Football Foundation was established in 1947 and our chapter was chartered in 1971. We are one of 121 chapters nationwide with more than 12,000 members. It is our mission through amateur football to promote, educate and build leaders through the greatest game ever played.
Through membership we are able to build our scholarship funds, assist in the development of football programs at the youth, high school and college levels to ensure that all student athletes achieve their dream.
The Valley of the Sun Chapter has recognized more than 1,200 young people and presented more than $700,000 in scholarships to the best and brightest scholar-athletes in our region. Recently we have recognized those in extracurricular activities, specifically, the marching band and spirit teams with scholarships. This year we are again a proud beneficiary of a $ 25,000 Grant partnership with Fiesta Bowl Charities, which will provide a sound base for our ongoing scholarship commitments to our recent 2019 Class, past classes, and our upcoming 2020 class.
Throughout the year we have premier events, from which we derive our scholarship funds, bring together scholar-athletes, former college and NFL players, members of the College Hall of Fame, community members, educators, family and friends. The annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet brings together the best and brightest scholar-athletes that excel not only in the classroom, but on the gridiron and in their community. 2019 was our 38th Annual Awards Event. Our Fall Scholarship Golf Classic - now at Top Golf - is a great way to spend a day with friends, community members and fellow athletes and coaches and at the same time fundraise for a worthy cause. The end of the year brings our Annual Arizona High School Champions' Luncheon whereby we honor the winning high school division teams and coaches. At this time we also present the Frank Kush Award for the State’s Best Offense Down Lineman; the Curly Culp Award for the State’s Best Defense Down Lineman, the Danny White Quarterback Award, and the Ron Pritchard Award for the State's Top Linebacker. In 2016 we are added the Mike Haynes Award for the State's Top Senior Defensive Back, the Archie Amerson Award for the Top Running Back, and the Luis Zendejas Award for the State's Top Senior Kicker; and, in 2019 we presented our initial J.D. Hill Award - recognizing the State's Top Senior Wide Receiver.
We are a high-energy group of volunteers and our members share one common bond…love for the game of amateur football. In the NFF Football is Always In-Season.
Your membership will help us continue to promote amateur football and help our scholar-athletes lead lives of active learning, positive relationships, personal growth as well as service to their community. Plus, your membership enables you to VOTE each year for the candidates for the College Football Hall of Fame, and entitles you to access to the actual Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
Make a difference and join our chapter…..Together we can make it happen!
P. Jason Burke
